I started the lampoon project after painting on uchiwa, the Japanese bamboo ribbed fans. Also made of rice paper, the watercolor and gouache get absorbed in multiple layers to deepen the color. A functional item, especially during August in Tokyo!

This is a winters' dog, all bundled in a furry shoulder-draped coat.Happy to go out in the snow for hours, stopping only briefly to pose for me.
